Overview:
I have more than 16 years’ experience in the Public Administration in South Africa of which 10 years have been on Middle Management level. I worked with all spheres of government (national, provincial and local). I consider myself a specialist in business development and public-sector relations.
Previously, I was Senior Manager: Business Development, Donor and Government Relations at IntelliMali, a private company developing software solutions to Higher Education and Training Sector as well as to administer bursaries and student allowances. I also previously held the position of Project Manager: Donor Relations at the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) responsible for the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs).
I was elected to the board of directors of the International Young Professionals Foundation (IYPF) in 2014. I was the first South African and the only African to hold a position on the board of the IYPF. The IYPF has a footprint in 70 countries and recently received United Nations Consultative Status. During the 2015 Annual General Meeting, I was unanimously elected as Vice President of the IYPF Board. I am currently serving my third two-year term as Director and Vice President of the IYPF Board.
Education:
I was accepted at the University of Western Cape for the 2016 Academic Year to pursue a BAdmin (Hons) Degree Public Management, which I successfully completed in August 2016. I intend to complete my BA Hons in Business Management degree through the University of Lincoln, UK in 2019. I successfully completed a Senior Management Development Programme through the University of Stellenbosch Business School in 2010. I also completed an Advanced Management Development Programme through the Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA). I enrolled for a BTh (Theology) degree at the University of South Africa in 2002.

Certificate in Protocol Training.
Diploma in Development of Life skills for Community Based Organisations.
Certificate in Bid Committees.
I am also a registered volunteer for the United Nations Volunteer Programme since 2008.
Personal volunteer work:
My determination and passionate drive for education-based issues and skills development were instrumental in formation of the Save our School Campaign in 2012, a civil society formation opposing the closure of poor and rural schools. I am currently serving as Coordinator of the SOS Campaign, fighting injustice and inequality in the schooling system, and working with authorities to improve educational opportunities.
The Minister of Higher Education and Training of the Republic of South Africa also appointed me to the Council of the Eastern Cape Community Education and Training College on the 7th July 2015 for a period of 5 years. I am currently serving as Chairperson of the Resources and Planning council committee as well as the EXCO of the College Council.
I was recently appointed to serve on the Cape Peninsula University of Technology Council Committee on Student Services for a period of 5 years, as well as a Council Member at the Northern Cape Rural TVET College.
I participated in the US State Department International Visitor Leadership Program – Workforce Development through the Community College Model between 12 – 30 January 2015, extensively studying the Community College Model of the USA.
