Career Summary:
Industrial working experience relates to working at the Cape Town City Council to various industrial companies in the engineering and related trades from 1975 to 1991.
Achieved my Boilermaking Red Seal from Olifantsfontein in 1984.
Further industrial experience culminates from 1985 to 1991, doing different types of boilermaking, welding, pipe fitting and rigging, on ships, power stations, construction sites and general engineering gaining experience in the Petro-Chem as well as the Oil and Gas Industries.
Started with Western Cape Education Department in 1991. Taught at various Technical Schools, Schools of Skills and Schools of Industry. Lectured at Athlone Technical College in different Nated courses from N1 – N5. Trained apprentices in practical workshop training in welding and boilermaking, Fitting and Turning N1, Panelbeating and Spraypainting N1 – N3. Was promoted to School Manager at Florida School for Skills and retired in 2004.
Started Training and Development in Adult Education in 2005 after achieving the Assessor, Moderation and Skills Development Certificates. Worked as a Training Manager at Mining Marine and Offshore Engineering, Belmet Marine where we trained 150 Angolan learners in boilermaking and welding, Started the first Technical Division for Damelin College and did welding code training and boilermaking training at Allweld Marine for Local and International welders.
Started working at Lesedi Skills Academy in November 2019 as n Technical Training Officer.
